With all the various sizes of brick currently being used in the Ontario market, it has become very difficult for architects, designers and masonry restoration specialists to source the right bricks for their projects. There are only two local manufacturers who make Ontario size brick 8-3/8" x 2-1/2"(2-3/8") x 4" and their selection is constrained to a dozen different colours and textures. This leads to architects and contractors spending days in a vain attempt to match an existing brick for an addition or a retrofit project.

We are pleased to announce that we have available in Ontario size a selection of over 350 different bricks, making available virtually every texture and colour that has ever been made. These bricks are manufactured to the highest standard by Ibstock Brick, the largest brick manufacturer in the United Kingdom . In addition we have available all of the special shapes that were particularly used on older more historic buildings such as squints and plinith bricks in the "Special Shapes and Fittings" Tab. If you have a special custom shape that you need, we can make it for you, even if you only require 20 or less pieces.

Moulded John Price Style Brick in Ontario Size

We carry a full line of John Price style Ontario size moulded brick. These are the bricks that figure so prominently in restoration projects in the older areas of Toronto, other downtown urban centres and rural Ontario. We have had these bricks tested and they satisfy all of the requirements of CSA as well as the National and Ontario Building Codes (Tab "Test Results")

Can't Find the Right Colour?

If the brick that we supply you is not the right colour due to ageing or unavailability of the right colour, our sister company PermaTint Limited (http://www.permatint.com/home.html) can stain the brick to produce in most cases an almost perfect match to the original brick. You will see below the six main colours of John Price style brick that we maintain in inventory, usually available for immediate delivery. Other variations of texture and colour can be viewed by selecting the “Sandfaced” option on the brick selector and the 65mm on the size tab.

As per the National and Ontario Building codes, bricks that are being used for exterior construction must pass the testing as laid out in Canadian Safety Standard A82-1 (CSA A82-1). Included here are the test results demonstrating that our bricks meet these standards and thus can be classified as Grade SW (Severe Weather)

Having the exact right brick for your project never guarantees a perfect color match due to aging or dye lot problems. PermaTint Limited, our sister company, is always available with their brick staining system to provide a solution to this problem and produces seamless restoration for all your projects.
